What it can and cannot do
The complete capability statement, in three bands, including the permanent limits. Chat's abilities follow what each tool is enforced to do, never marketing.

In the app that statement is pinned by a test to the real tool permissions, so the bands below describe enforcement rather than intention. When Chat gains an ability, it appears here after it is enforced, never before.
Free, straight away
Reading your own data never costs credits beyond the message. Chat can:
- Tell you how you appear in AI assistants' answers, and who appears instead of you, including your AI Shopping visibility
- Read your Google rankings, Search Console performance and indexing
- Read your Analytics traffic, including who is on the site right now
- Read your latest site audit and sitemaps, and explain what each issue means
- Read the pages, products, categories and revisions on your connected website
- Read your brand profile, topic clusters, drafts and open tasks
- Tell you your credit balance, where credits went, and what is connected
Only with your approval
You see exactly what will happen, and the price, before anything runs. With your approval, Chat can:
- Run a fresh check: rankings, AI visibility, a site audit, keyword research or trends. These cost credits at their own published rates
- Write an article draft into Content Studio for you to review
- Save keywords, prompts, tasks and cluster links into your account
- Stop tracking a keyword, or change its market, device or check frequency. Nothing recorded is deleted
- Apply one specific fix to a page on your site, and undo it afterwards
- Set the SEO title and meta description of one page: the text Google shows
- Rewrite one shop product's SEO text and short description, never its price or stock
- Add a category or tag to your website: a label only, with nothing filed under it
- Create a new empty draft page, post or shop product, for you to finish and publish yourself
Not here
These are permanent limits on Chat, not things coming later. Chat cannot:
- Write or delete the body of a page. A proposed fix is as far as it goes
- Change many pages at once
- Change your media library
- Touch your WordPress settings, plugins or users
- Switch to another website mid-conversation
- Do anything scheduled or recurring. It acts only while you are there
- Remember other conversations, or anything you told it outside this one
Why the limits are the point
A chat that can quietly rewrite pages is a liability wearing a text box. The narrow write scope, the approval card and the undo are what make it safe to leave Act mode on. Every write above is one object at a time, and the edits to things already published are the smallest ones there are: a page's title and meta, or a product's SEO text. Everything else it can create arrives as a draft for you to finish. Nothing it writes is bulk, nothing it writes is a page body, and the one edit that touches live text keeps a revert to the exact bytes that were there before.
