A free SEO audit of every product in your store.
Enter a Shopify or WooCommerce store address. The audit reads every product in its public product list and finds the weak titles, thin or copied descriptions, missing images and broken prices that keep products out of Google and AI shopping answers, ranked by what to fix first.

How it works
The same list a shopper’s browser can read
Shopify
Read by your own browser
Every Shopify store publishes its products at /products.json. Your browser reads it directly, a page of 250 at a time with a pause between pages, so the store is never rushed and nothing passes through us.
WooCommerce
Through the Store API
WooCommerce publishes products through its Store API. Browsers cannot read it from another site, so our server fetches it for you, keeps it for ten minutes, and sends back only the fields the checks use.
The result
A score, a fix list and a spreadsheet
A catalogue score out of 100, the problems ranked by how many products they touch, the products behind each one, and a CSV of every product and its problems to work through.
What an ecommerce SEO audit covers
Start with the products, then the pages around them
On most stores the product pages are where shoppers land from Google and where AI shopping answers find what to recommend. That is why this audit reads every product first. The rest of an ecommerce SEO audit checks the pages those products sit on, and each part has its own free check.
1. Product data
This audit
Titles, descriptions, images, identifiers, prices and stock on every product at once, ranked by how many products each problem touches.
2. Search listings
Titles and descriptions in Google
The search title and meta description each page shows in results, measured in pixels with the Title and Meta Description Checker.
3. Rich results
Product markup
Whether a product page tells Google its price, stock and identifiers, with the Schema Markup Checker.
4. Indexing
Duplicate addresses
Collection paths, variant parameters and international versions, with the Canonical Checker and the Hreflang Checker.
Reading the result
What to fix first after the audit
The report already ranks every problem by severity and reach. Working through it in this order gets the most products back into search the soonest.
First
High impact
Products with no description, no image or a price of zero, and products that share a title. Each of these keeps a product out of Google Shopping or makes it compete with itself.
Next
Copied and thin copy
Descriptions under 50 words or repeated across products. Rewrite the best sellers first: they earn the most from a page that answers shoppers’ questions.
Then
Data feeds rely on
Product types, brands and unique SKUs. Merchant Center, marketplaces and AI shopping answers all group and match products on them.
Finally
Run it again
Audit the store again once the fixes are live. A rising score and a shorter list are the proof the work landed.
Questions
About the Ecommerce SEO Audit
What does this ecommerce SEO audit check?
Twenty-one things on every product: duplicate, thin, overlong, all-capitals and promotional titles; missing, thin and copied descriptions; missing, single, undersized and shared images, and missing alt text on WooCommerce; no product type or category, no brand, no SKU and a SKU used twice; a price of zero and a sale price that is not below the regular price; products out of stock everywhere; and, on stores that collect reviews, products with none. Each finding comes with the fix for your platform.
Can I see an example before checking my store?
Yes. Press See an example report under the address box. It runs the same audit on an invented store, Juniper & Co, with one of each kind of problem, so you can see the score, the ranked fixes and the spreadsheet before checking a real store.
What should I fix first?
Start with the high-impact problems the report puts at the top: products with no description, no image or a zero price, and products sharing a title. Then rewrite thin or copied descriptions, best sellers first, and fill in product types, brands and unique SKUs. Run the audit again once the changes are live to see the score move.
Is it different from a website SEO audit?
Yes. Most SEO audits look at a handful of pages. This one reads every product in the catalogue, because on a store the product pages are where most searches land and where most problems sit. For the site as a whole, the free website audit checks whether AI systems can reach, read and cite your key pages.
Can I print or share the report?
Yes. Press Print report, or your browser’s own print command, and the page prints as a clean report with every fix opened, ready to save as a PDF and send to whoever looks after your products. Download the spreadsheet for every product, one row each.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
No. Enter the store address and the audit runs straight away. It reads the same public product list any visitor to the store can open, so it works for your own store and for any competitor you want to compare with.
Which stores can it check?
Shopify stores, through the public list every Shopify store publishes at /products.json, and WooCommerce stores through the Store API that WooCommerce itself provides. A store can switch its public list off, and the checker says so when it finds none.
How many products does it check?
Up to 2,500 products on a Shopify store and 1,000 on a WooCommerce store, read a page at a time with a pause between pages so the store is never rushed. A large Shopify catalogue takes about a minute.
Why can it not see alt text or barcodes on a Shopify store?
Shopify leaves image alt text, barcodes and search titles out of its public product list. They live in Shopify admin, which is where the free RankX AI Shopify app reads and fixes them, for one product or many at once, with undo.
Is my store data stored?
No. A Shopify store is read by your own browser, straight from the store. A WooCommerce store does not allow that, so the list passes through our server, which keeps a copy for ten minutes so a repeat check does not ask the store again, then drops it.
How is the catalogue score worked out?
Every product starts at full marks and loses 3 for each high-impact problem, 2 for each medium and 1 for each low one, out of 6, so two serious problems empty it. The store score is the average across every product checked, and a product counts as ready when it has no high or medium problem.
Why do duplicate titles and descriptions matter so much?
When products share a title or a description, search engines and AI shopping answers cannot tell them apart. They pick one page to show and treat the others as copies, so products you stock never appear for the searches that should find them.
